Comparison of spatial instantaneous ECG vectors, measured with the SVEC, with mean vectors derived from conventional ECG leads.

چکیده
Two approaches to the analysis of spatial electrocardiographs vectors are currently being used: construction from the conventional ECG leads, and measurements from oscilloscopic recordings of spatial loops. There are seveml fundamental differences between the approaches, and there is no a priori certainty that equivalent or even similar phenomena are being investigated. This study presents a statistical comparison between mean spatial vectors, constructed from the conventional ECG, and instantaneous maximum spatial vectors, determined with the stereovector electro-cardiographic technic.

The effect of leads utilized upon discrepancies between spatial vectors recorded by SVEC and by mean vector methods.
IN a former study, 1 a statistical comparison was made between mean vectors, constructed from conventional ECG leads by means of a mechanical vector analyzer— method I—and the maximum instantaneous vectors as recorded with the SVEC' (stereovectorelectrocardiograph, method II). These two methods differ in regard to the leads used and the method of measurement of spatial vectors. The results were...
متن کاملDerivation of the 12-Lead Electrocardiogram using Abstract factor analysis and simplex optimization
The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a lead-vector system that models the electrical activity of the heart. Both dipolar and multipolar factors have been shown to influence cardiac electrical activity. Although many lead placement conventions have been utilized, controversy exists in defining the number of ECG leads needed to adequately describe cardiac electrical activity. Abstract factor analysis (...
متن کاملElectrode positions, transformation coordinates for ECG reconstruction from S-ICD vectors
The article contains data pertaining to the reconstruction of an 8-lead ECG from 2 subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator vectors. The location of electrodes on the precordium required for the data collection are detailed; the flow chart for patient selection and exclusion is shown; the summary data of the root mean square error (RMSE) (in microvolts) and Pearson r for the ECG tran...
متن کاملDigital computer analysis of the vectorcardiogram of the newborn infant. Quantitative and comparative measurement of three orthogonal lead systems.
Data derived from digital computer analysis of three corrected lead recordings for each of 13 term, normal newborn infants obtained on the first day of life are reported. The Frank, Schmitt SVEC-III, and McFee axial systems recorded the time sequence of ventricular depolarization force orientation in an almost identical manner. The following electrocardiographic measurements are reported for ea...
متن کاملMacroscopic Visualization of the Heart Electrical Activity Via an Algebraic Computer Model
In this study, a mathematical model is developed based on algebraic equations which is capable of generating artificially normal events of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals such as P-wave, QRS complex, and T-wave. This model can also be implemented for the simulation of abnormal phenomena of electrocardiographic signals such as ST-segment episodes (i.e. depression, elevation, and sloped ascending...
